New Book New Title - Under The Boab Tree

‘Under The Boab Tree’ Is the new title for my new and latest book from the previous working title of Beaten To Love.

The journey has been long, at times difficult, yet enjoyable and creative especially when working with my editor Virginia Lloyd of Lloyd Literary Services LLC.  An Australian but living and working in Brooklyn and New York.

Under The Boab Tree is with a publisher in Australia and I expect a launch in November 2022. I will be sending out invites and using zoom to connect with my family and friends in other states in Australia and internationally.

Here’s a taste of what some of the reviewers are saying about ‘Under The Boab Tree’ ~

This is an unusual biography of an unusual woman from an unusual family. An emotional tale told in an almost lyrical style. ~ Ruth Weiss, Journalist/ Writer/ Nobel Peace Prize Nominee

This is a book about the power of the human spirit to meet injustice and suffering with courage and compassion. ~ Robert Bland AM PhD. Honorary Professor of Social Work University of Queensland and Australian Catholic University

I found the premise of ‘Under The Boab Tree’ - fascinating. Franceska is a beautiful writer. I was so immersed in the evocative world of her mother - Isabella Jordan. ~ Kelly Doust Publisher

In these most troubling times, I have a sense that people do not want to read of hardship, more trauma and distress. But please be assured I am taking you on a cultural, scenic, and interesting journey through Africa and then to a forest in Australia. As Robert Bland AM so eloquently says,

We want to soak up some of that strength at the roots of the Baobab.  We want to rest in its shade.  We want the connection with the spirit of life that the tree offers.  We too, want the full life in all its richness and contradiction.  And we want that peaceful resolution at the end.

Come journey with me, with my tree companions in the countries mentioned and my family of humans and animals ~ as well as listen to the voice and wisdom of Boaboa my nature mother and father.
